My name is Gerry Koen. Born and raised in Zimbabwe for most of my life I left to come and build a life for myself in the United Kingdom, namely Somerset. I live in small village with my wife spending my time creating all things biltong, a love that followed me across from my roots in Zimbabwe. 

What is biltong?

Biltong is a variety of dried, cured meat that originated in Southern Africa. Various types of meat are used to produce it, ranging from beef and game meats to fillets of ostrich from commercial farms. Meat is cut in to thin strips and air dried in a biltong box / dryer. Using spices and herbs it makes the perfect snack.
